Ein wenig später ging es mit E Street Band weiter.  Um 19:53 Uhr startete die Show mit ROCKIN‘ ALL OVER THE WORLD.  Twist & Shout  endete um 23:57 Uhr und Bruce sagte um 23:59 Uhr, dass nun die 4 Stunden erreicht wurden.  Unglaublich 4 Stunden und 6 Minuten dauerte der Abend. Über 66.000 Tramps rockten Göteborg. Der zweite Abend hatte es in sich. Der veregnete Abend begann mit „Who’ll Stop the Rain“. Nach den „Standards“ „The Ties that Bind“ und „Out in the Street“, folgte der „Born in the USA Slot“ mit „Downbound Train“ und „I’m goin Down“.  Danach folgte das auf dieser Tour seltene „My lucky day“ und die erste Tourpremiere „Lost in the Flood“. Danach folgten die „Standards“ „We Take Care of Our Own“, „Wrecking Ball“,  „Death to my Hometown“ und „My City of Ruins“. Das nächste Highlight war das seltene „It’s Hard to be a Saint in the City“ und die größte Überraschung an diesem Arbend die Premiere von „Frankie“. „Frankie“ hatte einen „Country-Touch“ mit Nils 12 String und Soozie an der Fidel. Des Weitren wurde das Sax Solo durch ein E-Gitarren Solo ersetzt. Es folgten „The River“, „Because the Night“, „Lonesome Day“, „Hungry Heart“, „Shackled and Drawn“ und „Waitin’ On a Sunny Day“. Danach kam die nächste Tourpremiere von „Where the Bands Are“, einem weiteren Highlight an diesem Abend. Er spielte den ersten Vers alleine, danach setzte die Band ein. Danach folgte „Backstreets“, auch einer dieser Songs die nicht jeden Abend gespielt werden.  Danach folgten „Badlands“, „Land of Hope and Dreams“, „Thunder Road“, „Born in the USA“, „Born to Run“, „Ramrod“, „Dancing in the Dark“ und „10th Avenue Freeze-Out“. Nun folgte ein ergreifender Moment und die größte Überraschung des Abends: „JUNGLELAND“. Gerade mal ertwas mehr als ein Jahr nach dem Tod des Big Man spielen sie diesen Song, der mehr als jeder andere Song von Bruce mit Clarence Clemons verbunden wird …. Dies hätte niemand erwartet….. Jake hatte Tränen in den Augen, aber auch viele im Stadion. Für meinen Geschmack kam der Song viel zu früh. Traurig. Danach folgte noch „Twist and shout“. Der Abend war nach ca. 3:45 Stunden, nach 4 Tourpremieren, nach 19 verschiedenen Songs zur ersten Nacht in Schweden, nach vielen bewegenden Momenten und nach vielen Highlights zu Ende.

Konzerte in Göteborg sind immer etwas Besonderes. Im Soundcheck wurden WERE THE BANDS ARE & DRIVE ALL NIGHT & GIRLS IN THEIR SUMMER CLOTHES gespielt.

Das Konzert startete ca. 19:30 Uhr mit Promised Land (Band Version keine Acoustic) und beinhaltete mit DRIVE ALL NIGHT & GIRLS IN THEIR SUMMER CLOTHES zwei Premieren. Vorallem DRIVE ALL NIGHT vom The River Album war das Highlight des Abends.

Nach 3:48 Stunde endete das Konzert um 0:13 Uhr.

Bruce Springsteen.net veröffentlicht neue Tour Daten:

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band announce sixteen additional dates in the U.S. and Canada for the fall leg of the ‘Wrecking Ball’ World Tour, which will kick off August 14 at Boston’s Fenway Park.

The tour closes out an 11-week European run this week that has included three of the longest shows of Springsteen’s career and garnered universal acclaim, being called “gigantic” (Rolling Stone), “thrilling” (The Atlantic) and “the stuff of legend” (Irish Independent).  Tickets are currently available for previously announced shows in Moncton, NB (Aug 26); Vernon Downs, NY (Aug 29); Philadelphia, PA (Sept 3); and East Rutherford, NJ (Sept 19).

Springsteen is the subject of a 19-page profile in this week’s newyorker.com by editor David Remnick. Remnick sheds light on Springsteen’s approach to recording and touring in 2012.

Pete Seegers neues Album „A More Perfect Union“ mit Bruce Springsteen

Das neue Pete Seeger Album erscheint am 24.09. 2012.

Das Album ist eine Zusammenarbeit zwischen dem 93-jährige Pete Seeger und Songwriter  Lorre Wyatt. Als „Gastsänger“ sind Bruce Springsteen, Steve Earle, Tom Morello, Emmylou Harris und Dar Williams auf dem Album. Von den 15 Seeger / Wyatt Kompositionen auf der CD  wurde nur „Wonderful Friends“  bisher veröffentlicht. Bruce singt mit ihm den ersten Song des Albums:

„God’s Counting on Me…God’s Counting on You“.

Am Ende soll Bruce enoch „Night“ gespielt haben, dies wäre der Hammer, dies bedeutet 33 Songs und die bisher längste Setlist. Morgen erfährt ihr mehr, ob u.a. Night gespielt wurde.
